If we seem friendly and obliging, that’s the wine talking.
Joe Willis Manager
Joe left Dunedin, New Zealand as a fresh faced 18 year old and headed for the bright lights of London. He took up his role at Suze soon after landing (2 hours) and has been with the company ever since. Joe’s leadership qualities and his desire for perfection soon saw him promoted to manager.
Soon after his promotion Joe took on his WSET wine studies which he passed with flying colours. In June 2009 he was invited to Champagne for a week of intense study and tasting and at the end became only the 5th New Zealander to graduate and gain membership to the prestigious Champagne Academy. Joe can be relied upon for expert advice when searching for the perfect wine match when dining at Suze or the palatable after work tipple.
Hailing from a strong and successful sporting family, Joe keeps his active lifestyle up through his personal training and should he be available, is always keen to lace up for a game of rugby.
When you visit Suze, keep an eye out for Joe’s pug, Winston. He is our star Mascot and in charge of our website blog.
